Optimising From the Test Experience

Within the test experience you have the ability to fine tune your experience before you launch your Assistant.

When asking questions, you will notice icons appearing next to each of the responses provided. The below provides a guide to the different response types and how to optimise from them based on the buttons in the test experience.

Low Confidence Responses

This occurs when the Assistant has a low confidence level about the correct answer either because it does not have a Q&A to support the request, or a Q&A needs additional training material.

Step 1

Check whether there is an existing Q&A in your knowledge base that would answer the query.

  • Go to the knowledge base and search using the 'magnifying glass' icon or by page using the navigation buttons at the bottom.

Step 2

No Q&A exists.

  1. Click on the cog icon next to the low confidence message received in the test experience.

  1. In the table, find the question entered that resulted in the low confidence message.

  2. Open the Data source drop down on that line and select the document you would like to create a new Q&A from.

  3. Click ‘Generate’

  4. Studio will then present you with a new Q&A for approval. Edit, dismiss or Approve Q&A.

Once approved, Studio will add your new Q&A to your knowledge base.

To see your changes in the text experience, retrain your Assistant and reload the Test experience by clicking on the refresh icon in the top of the chat window.
